Area Rugs

An area rug can be the foundation of a great room!

A great area rug can make a room.  There are 2 schools of thought when picking area rugs;

1) Pick the area rugs first - and then decorate around the rug.  This is a good way to go if you are starting from scratch or redecorating an existing room.  This option is best if you want your rug to be a focal point in the room.  You will not have any furniture or fabric to try match and you can pick from thousands of beautiful rugs.

2.) Pick the area rugs last. - Many times the rug is that last thing people place in a room.   I would suggest this route if you like neutral rugs that blend into the surroundings - then you can let a beautiful fabric dominate the room.
